Dr. Nagendra Prasad

Dr. Nagendra Prasad is a senior interventional cardiologist at Enel Hospitals, Nellore. He did his MBBS from Siddhartha Medical College and his MD in general medicine from Narayana Medical College. Then, he pursued a DM from the prestigious Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences at the very young age of 28. After finishing DM, he worked as a senior resident at NIMS (2017–2018) and Maxcure, along with many senior cardiologists. Later, he worked at Medicover Hospital for a year. He was a consultant interventional cardiologist at Simhapuri Hospital, Nellore, for 3 years.

He has vast experience in trans-radial interventions, complex coronary interventions like left main stenting, bifurcations, CTO, peripheral artery interventions, carotid stenting, treatment of congenital heart diseases, post CABG interventions, pacemakers, and ICDs. He has a special interest in structural heart procedures and paediatric procedures. He has performed many device closures in children up to the weight of 5 kg. Till now he has done more than 5000 invasive procedures. Treating patients with compassionate care has earned him phenomenal recognition as a cardiologist at a very young age.

He has presented papers at several events, such as APICON 2013 (Coimbatore) and 2016 (Hyderabad), and CSI 2016 (Kochi). He has done many projects on interventional cardiology and published case reports on the same.

He has earned the hearts of many patients due to his expertise and a kind and compassionate attitude towards the patients. He is known for his clinical excellence and ability to resolve complex cases with ease.
